History
Speight, van Nostrand & Gibson Limited is the amalgamation of two of Ontario's oldest survey firms.
W.S. Gibson & Sons Limited has a heritage dating back to 1825. The firm founder David Gibson, was the first surveyor for the City Of Toronto and elected to the Parliament of Upper Canada.
Thomas Bailey Speight and Colonel A.J. van Nostrand formed a partnership in 1885 called Speight & van Nostrand Limited.
Both firms moved aggressively to open lands in Northern and Southern Ontario.
W.S. Gibson & Sons Limited and Speight & van Nostrand Limited have a history of being involved in some of Canada's largest real estate projects such as the Home Smith Project, Toronto Dominion Tower, Eaton's Centre and Scotia Plaza.
We have been involved with the Ministry Of Consumer and Commercial Relations Polaris Mapping Project of Brampton, Mississauga, Markham and Cambridge.
We have kept pace with the recent advances in technology and utilize the latest office and field equipment.
